Geographic situation of Uzbekistan

The Republic of Uzbekistan is situated in the centre of the Central Asia , between the rivers Amudarya and Syrdarya. Uzbekistan consists of 12 administrative regions and Autonomous Republic of Karakalpakistan. Uzbekistan borders on Kazakhstan , Tajikistan , Turkmenistan , Afghanistan , and Kyrgyzstan .

Climate of Uzbekistan

The climate of Uzbekistan is dry with contrasting and quick transition from the unstable winter to a warm rainy spring, from humid, warm and short spring to a long dry summer. Very often autumn begins with sharp fluctuation of temperature, light frost, rains, sometimes followed by snow for a short period of time. The transition from autumn to winter is sharp. Winters are very unstable: often light and hard frosts are followed by intensive and lasting thaws. The temperature in winter goes down to -10C, in summer average temperature goes up to +37C.
